With Ognomy Sleep, being tested, diagnosed, and treated for sleep apnea is simple, convenient, and fast. And if clinically appropriate, you may have the option to be prescribed a GLP-1 medication, which can reduce the severity of sleep apnea and help you lose weight along with a reduced-calorie diet and increased physical activity.
Simplified Sleep Apnea Care, Life-Changing Results
So, Ognomy Sleep reinvented it, making it simple to receive life-changing professional care faster, from the comfort of your own home, and very likely covered by insurance.
A sleep medicine specialist will join you for a virtual visit scheduled at your convenience, where you’ll share your sleep and weight concerns. If appropriate, an FDA-approved sleep study device will be prescribed, and shipping to your home will be initiated during the same virtual session. Blood testing may be recommended as well to get a comprehensive picture of your metabolic health.
When your test arrives, read the step by step instructions and prepare to use the test that night.
A follow-up telehealth appointment will be scheduled with your sleep clinician. You’ll spend time understanding your results and, if appropriate, the therapy and options that make sense for you, which may include weight-loss medication and select sleep and lifestyle therapies. Prescriptions and orders will be placed right then, and shipped to you.
We’ll schedule check-ins so that together, we’re understanding your progress and helping you reach your sleep goals. We can help you troubleshoot concerns, and when needed, pivot to new approaches. Ognomy Sleep is here with you so you feel better fast and stay better for life.

Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA) is a prevalent and serious sleep disorder that involves the airway becoming repeatedly blocked during sleep, leading to paused breathing and oxygen deprivation. Commonly caused by the collapse of throat tissues, it can result in loud snoring, choking noises and frequent awakenings, potentially contributing to health problems such as high blood pressure, heart disease, stroke, diabetes and depression.
Yes. Ognomy Sleep accepts Medicaid (New York only*), Medicare, and most major insurance plans. Since coverage and benefits vary by plan, we’ll verify your individual benefits and share an estimated cost before your first appointment. Your final cost is determined by your insurance plan after your claim is processed and may differ from this estimate.
It’s important to provide complete and accurate insurance information when you sign up. Enter your insurance details exactly as they appear on your card and be sure to include any secondary insurance you may have. This helps us verify your coverage and provide the most accurate estimate possible. Ognomy Sleep visits are typically considered specialist visits, and applicable copays may vary depending on your plan. Coverage for home sleep testing also varies by insurance plan. Our team will process any required prior authorization, but we recommend confirming your specific coverage and out-of-pocket costs directly with your insurance carrier.
*Not all Medicaid plans in New York reimburse for home sleep testing. We will let you know in advance of your appointment if this is the case and if we need to refer you to an in-person clinician.
During your follow up appointment, you and your sleep clinician will discuss treatment options together based on your home sleep test. These include CPAP therapy, oral appliance therapy, Inspire® therapy, Zepbound® and/or lifestyle modifications.
For the in-home test:
If paying by insurance, your sleep test may be fully covered, or you may be required to pay a portion of the cost (coinsurance or copay). Patient responsibility usually runs between $25 and $70 and will be dependent on your coverage. If you have coinsurance for sleep studies, you will generally pay less for a home sleep study compared to an in-lab study.
For the telemedicine visit:
Depending on your insurance you may have a specialist visit copay. Ognomy Sleep does not charge any fees other than your copay or coinsurance.
If you have a high-deductible plan or no health insurance at present, Ognomy offers a self-pay option. The total package is $320 and includes an initial sleep specialist consultation, a home sleep test, and a follow-up consultation. Here is how payments are structured: A new patient appointment fee of $124 is charged at the time of scheduling. The remaining $196 covers your home sleep test and follow-up consultation, split into 4 payments of $49 billed every two weeks, beginning when your home sleep test is issued. Any additional follow-up appointments are $99 each.
You won't be charged a fee without your prior approval.
For prescriptions or additional therapies:
There may be charges for medications or additional devices or therapies ordered according to your treatment plan. Your payment responsibility will be determined by your insurer as it is for any medication or treatment you receive from traditional healthcare services.
The Ognomy team will assist with prior authorization support to help gain approval from your insurer in any way we can.
